   * 1. The change on the Hartford semi-automatic pistol magazine release from a release that slides in a groove to one that swings on a pin like the Model B.
   * 2. The earliest model Bs utilized parts that were probably left over Hartford Arms parts or parts of the same design. Safety lever, take down lever, and front sight. Are there any with the long Hartford style extractor?
   * 3. What is the earliest short barreled Model B?
   * 4. What are the earliest serial number for grips with the HS monogram and the latest serial number for grips without the monogram? Report only those you are sure are the grips oroginal to the gun and not grips which may have been changed.
   * 5. What are the earliest found models B and C with I-B take down and what are the latest models B and C with the I-A take down? Note this will require some foot noting since there are numerous examples of Model Cs that appear to have been converted from old inventory and shipped at a date much later than the surrounding models.
   * 6.  What are the latest models B, C, A, D, and E with the type I-B takedown and what are the earliest models B, C, A, D, and E with the type II takedown?
   A 7.  What is the earliest model B-US and the latest model B-US guns. The factory records do not distinguish between the Model B and the Model B-US. The best indication is that the Model B-US should have been sent either to the Commanding Officer Springfield or to the War Dept. Note that more than a few other models were shipped to the government near the beginning of the war. These may have been guns sent for evaluation or other testing but were probably not US marked.
   * 8.  What is the earliest USA-MODEL-HD and the latest USA-MODEL-HD guns. The factory records do not distinguish between the Model HD, the model HD-MILITARY and USA-MODEL-HD. The best indication is that the USA-MODEL -HD should have been sent either to the Commanding Officer Springfield or to the War Dept. Note that more than a few other commercial models were shipped to the government near the beginning of the war.
    B 9.  What is the earliest model HD-MILITARY serial number? The hand-written records do not distinguish between the USA-MODEL HD or the HD-MILITARY. The machine-printed records, which use the catalog numbers, do specifically define the HD-MILITARY as well as the barrel length
    B 10.  What is the latest HD-MILITARY with plastic grips and the earliest HD-MILITARY with walnut grips?
    B 11.  What is the latest HD-MILITARY without a trigger over-travel screw and the earliest HD-MILITARY with a trigger over-travel screw? The screw is in the curve of the frame above and in front of the trigger guard
   * 12. Where is the transition from the polished slide top and frame to the matte finish on those surfaces?
   * 13.  When did the serial number location move from the from the front grip strap and a partial number on the inside of the slide to the right side of the frame and right side of the slide? Which other guns underwent a change in serial number location?
    C 14.  Is there a pattern for when the first Olympics had the curved magazine without the hump? The earliest and latest serial numbers for this variation.
   * 15.  What are the earliest and latest serial numbers for the lever name series that have the molded plastic grips with the metal escutcheon molded into the screw hole?
   * 16.  What are the latest serial number for the lever Sport King which has no slide hold back and the earliest serial number for the same model with slide hold back?
   * 17.  The date code marking code chart begins with a code for December 1956. What is the earliest pistol with date code markings and the latest pistol with date code markings? Date code markings are two upper case alphabetic characters one represents the month and one the year. These markings are usually found on the bottom of the barrel just in front of the frame.
   * 18.  The early Citations had no lightning bolts on either side of the word Citation. (reference Mike Meade’s article in the November 1995 newsletter). What are the latest serial numbers without the lightning bolts and the earliest with.
   * 19.  At what serial number did the notches for the muzzle brake appear on the 5.50” Citation barrel? Did the threaded holes for weights appear at the same time?
   * 20.  What is the latest serial number for an Olympic Citation and the earliest serial number for an Olympic in the 102 series?
   * 21.  What is the highest serial number for the first type ejector in the 102 series? What is the lowest serial number for the second type ejector? What is the highest serial number for the second type ejector? What is the lowest serial number for the third type ejector in the 102 series?
   * 22.  What is the highest serial number for the “staked” barrel retention stud? What is the lowest serial number for the pinned barrel retention stud?
   * 23.  What is the highest serial number for a model 102? It would be good for us to get the serial numbers for each model in the series since the transition for each model will likely be different
   * 24.  The early adjustable rear sights beginning with the 102 series had recesssed markings which at some point changed to raised markings. What is the latest serial number for a gun with rrecessed markings? What is the earliest serial number for a gun with the raised markings?

   * 39.  What is the highest serial number for Victors with “THE VICTOR” still marked on the barrel? What is the lowest serial number for Victors with “VICTOR” marked on the frame? Please report any guns with “THE VICTOR” on the barrel and “VICTOR” on the frame.
   * 40.   What is the higheat serial number for a SH series survival pack with the Sharpshooter? What is the lowest serial number for SH survival pack with a Citation II?
   * 41. What are the transition points for the variations in finish or plating of the magazine release, safety, slide lock?
These questions cover the entire life of the High Standard pistols and therefore no matter what your collecting interest you should have the opportunity to participate and benefit if all participate.
